At a coffee shop near the Central station in Gothenburg, some of us had our first meeting. We were all excited, a little bit nervous, but nevertheless ready to get this project started. With a play about communication and isolation, coming from different countries is just one of the aspects that'll make this group exciting to work with. Sweden, Romania, Netherlands, Iceland, Australia and England are just a few of the nationalities represented in the group. Working in a second language, or for some of us a third language, is certainly going to be a challenge, but hopefully also an interesting learning experience. We have so much to gain from each other, that I'm sure of. Our next meeting will be on Sunday, this time in our brand new rehearsal venue! We're all very eager to get up on our feet, play some games and really get to know one another. Tomorrow it's time to pick up the keys, and after that we're ready to go in our new space.
As autumn is drawing near, we're also about to start holding theatre workshops. We'll be doing improvisation, script reading, acting exercises as well as audition preparation. It all depends on what the group wishes to get out of it. It's all great in Gothenburg for Inter-Acting. I think we'd like to stay for a few more months.
See you later!
