At the time of writing this post, I'm sitting in the kitchen of my childhood home, cup of coffee in my hand and a typing colleague on the other side of the wall. You could definitely say that the work has started, Inter-Acting has finally come to Sweden to begin its very first production, its working title: “Spot the Odd”.
Kim is almost done with the work on our website, hours and hours of clicking and pressing on buttons has finally come to an end. The website will be our number one platform reaching out. My thoughts are now whether or not some parts of it should be translated? We're in Sweden after all looking for a bilingual clientele, hm... It's food for thought. An almost finished website however, that's a big stepping stone in the process. And I'd say the vibe we're going for is “WARNING-THERE-HAS BEEN-AN-ACCIDENT”, which could be proven effective, personally I like it, like a slap in the face which is just what a community theatre company needs. The recruitment poster on the other hand has been under debate, I wanted some more colours and shapes, but finally the poster is ready to be printed. It's not too bad. Finishing this, we are ready to begin the real work!
At the time being, we're working on finding a rehearsal venue, and on finding participants for the play. In the next few days, we're planning to do some marketing by handing out the recruitment posters and leaflets, in Kungsbacka and in Gothenburg. Our targets are local theatres and art schools. Mostly because those places are more likely to attract eager participants, truth be told, we're looking for as much diversity as possible! I hope to have a successful week networking, I'm excited and eager to get this thing started!
Bye for now,
