Inter-Acting Theatre Company C.I.C.
The SOCIAL was a great chance for people to interact and it was a good taster for what's to come.
We plan to continue recruiting members over the next coming weeks. We will produce a series of free workshops so new members can join in whilst still at the same time having fun with the members we have already recruited. In these workshops we will play, laugh, chat and continue to surprise ourselves.
Space Six is the perfect meeting place for anyone desiring to connect to the arts. We are surrounded by different companies that offer a wide range of workshops and services.
At Inter-Acting we create theatre with and for the community and encourage participation in the arts. We will primarily benefit people from marginalised minorities, individuals that have low self-esteem, working with people that have a diverse background and bilingual speakers. We also endeavour to bridge the generation gaps between older and younger people, and encourage social cohesion.
We encourage interaction between different social groups. To bridge gaps and increase opportunities to develop creativity, imagination, emotional intelligence and thinking skills; opportunities to express ideas, values and feelings, to increase confidence and self esteem.
As we plan to deliver workshops and sessions tailored to the individuals taking part there will now be a second regular workshop to start in the next few weeks called: FOCUS
This workshop will be for those wanting to take a more target driven path to performance. Either a collection of works or a group performance at the end. This could be supported with a film/ recording or with a SHORT performance to a small audience. FOCUS will have to cost a fee of £3 per head per session until we receive funding.
We understand that not everyone has money to spend! So there will always be a free workshop on offer.
Inter-Acting is a company based on individuals. The community will benefit by arts work happening within the district. This will enrich cultural life and support further participation in cultural events.
